Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.Job CategoryFinancePosition SummaryThe Senior Financial Planning Analyst role focuses on short and long-term financial planning and analysis for Bridgestone West Retail Operations. This role is a critical liaison between business operations and accounting to ensure accurate forecasting and analysis. Activities include, but not limited to: financial data mining, forecasting, model building, monthly close support and process improvement that yield high-quality results.Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze financial statements

Participate in the development of the annual financial plan as well as quarterly forecasts

Supports monthly closing process for key areas of responsibility

Build financial models that provide insight into strategic initiatives and operational financial trends

Deep understanding of end to end accounting flows, working cross-functionally to break down silos and solve problems

Proactively report and drive discussions on key metrics (ROIC, Cash Flow, etc)

Be a solution generator for process optimization and standardization; challenges variation and status quo while building team consensus

Facilitate & participate in key special projects on an ad-hoc basis

Maintains strong interactive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively

Perform other ad hoc responsibilities as requested by leadership

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance / MBA Preferred

3+ years of progressive experience in a related field / in a large complex organization

Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues

An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required

Works well on a team but can also manage work individually

Self-starter with intellectual curiosity

Excellent ability to work under ambiguity and minimal supervision
