We are dedicated to our Promise to Care across our customer and teammate experiences and continually improving our operations through data-driven insights. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Manager to join our Marketing Insights and Analytics team to play a pivotal role in enhancing our data strategy and pipelines for customer and marketing data elements. As a Data Manager at Bridgestone, you will be at the forefront of our data strategy to make information accessible for our analytics and marketing team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies for developing data pipelines, stitching disparate data sources together, customer identity resolution, exposing an analytics layer in our data and writing queries to address ad-hoc business questions. The data foundation will improve our ability to reach out to customers in relevant ways and allow for personalized outreach and targeting, ultimately leading to improved customer and business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesData Quality Management

Oversee and develop processes to maintain and improve the quality of data, including data cleansing and validation

Partner with business stakeholders to develop data feeds across the digital ecosystem to ensure we can track and optimize the customer journey

Insights Generation

Analyze customer behavior and preferences to identify trends patterns, and opportunities

Respond to Executive team for data and insights needs to ensure they have necessary information for key business meetings

Database Management

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data strategies aligned with business objectives

Manage databases, including designing, implementing and optimizing database structure

Build reporting/analytics layer in data to allow for fast and reliable data analysis

Integrate data from multiple sources to create a unified view for analysis and reporting

Ensure compliance with security standards

Team Leadership

Provide leadership and guidance to an off-shore team of data engineers, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative team environment

Work in Agile methodology to ensure continuous improvement and quality team delivery

Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and present findings and recommendations

Effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an analytical area such as MIS/CIS, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics and 8+ years of experience in data management/strategy or a master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in data management/strategy

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices

Curiosity for the Auto Care Retail and the Auto Care Customer Journey

Proficiency in data querying/modeling (SQL, Python, or R) and database (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata) tools

Expert level of understanding multiple data environments and the ability to interface with them using the appropriate tools

Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to various levels of management

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems

Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills

Able to work in ambiguous situations and respond flexibly to changing circumstances, priorities, and time constraints

Team player with ability to collaborate with others
