Position DescriptionThe Human Resources Analyst – Talent Acquisition position will be responsible for managing the full recruitment life cycle for Metro departments served by the central Human Resources Office. The incumbent will work in a fast-paced environment and must be flexible and able to adapt to a continuously changing workflow. Successful candidates will also possess effective written and oral communication skills and have demonstrated the ability to multitask various projects simultaneously.In the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, every department is vital. Plans and conducts recruitments for a wide variety of positions, including but not limited to:

creates job announcements

posts advertisements

corresponds between department customers, applicants, and HR staff

reviews and evaluates employment applications

confers with departmental staff to develop exam components and interview questions for promotional recruitments

creates reports, lists and registers

Performs background checks and interprets results.

Interprets and explains Civil Service rules, policies, and procedures; confers with departmental staff.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.“No Substitution”Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in human resources recruiting.

Experience working with applicant tracking software (i.e. NEOGOV, Taleo, PeopleSoft, etc.)

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Experience submitting and receiving background check information.

Ability to create job postings from job descriptions.
