Description Our Nashville, TN, client in the hospitality/music industry is searching for a fully REMOTE INTERIM Director of Finance. This contract position will last approximately 3 months.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:The Director of Finance & Accounting, under the supervision of the General Manager, takes charge of all company's financial activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and payroll. This entails managing all accounting functions, supervising the production of periodic financial reports, preparing and presenting financial statements, overseeing monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews. Duties also include providing management with reviews of the organization's financial status, reviewing financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations, directing budget preparation, coordinating annual audits and maintaining a system of accounting policies and procedures. The director is expected to ensure compliance with federal state regulations and accounting standards.Requirements The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Master's degree preferred), and a minimum of five years of relevant experience preferably in the hospitality or music entertainment industry. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation would be an advantage. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and robust problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software like M3 and Microsoft Office is necessary. The candidate needs to demonstrate strong interpersonal, customer service skills and business acumen.
