Position Summary: The Buyer Planner is r esponsible for procuring finished goods and components as well as supporting services if applicable, needed to support customer orders by collaborating with the Director, Supply Chain and Logistics to strategically plan inventory levels, evaluat e suppliers and manag e purchase orders to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards; essentially balancing supply and demand to meet customer requirements. This is a hybrid position working from home as well as our warehouse reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics. What you will do:
Monitor inventory levels at all domestic internal and 3PL locations.
Create and issue direct and indirect purchase orders.
Manage and review purchase order status and performance from vendors.
Expedite and reschedule purchase orders as required to maintain inventory targets.
Participate in supplier audits and cost saving activities.
Monitor and report on vendor performance.
Collaborate with logistics team on pickup, transit and delivery of vendor goods.
Utilize ERP systems to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance metric s.
Monitor and initiate transfer orders to keep site specific inventory levels optimally balanced.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
2 years of experience with direct vendor management experience as well as managing open purchase orders for product centric business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes .
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
D emonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
Reliable and predictable attendance.
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 20 %); will include some overnight travel.
Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

Work environment is at hybrid, working from home and warehouse as needed.
Compensation:
