The Athletic Trainer, PRN assists with camps and other duties as assigned within Athletics and Student Recreation. Duties and Responsibilities
Completes assessments using the appropriate testing methods and equipment for the patient/athlete, diagnosis and reason for referral
Provides education/consultation to patient/athlete, family, team and community
Formulates functional treatment plan to address deficits and patient/athlete and family areas of concern
Formulates functional treatment plan and provides rehabilitation interventions for identified objectives/goals for return to play
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree and 12 months of directly related experience is necessary
Licensed Athletic Trainer, National Athletic Trainers Association Certification
Athletic Training: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate athletic training in practical applications of moderate difficulty
Sports Medicine: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate sports medicine in practical applications of moderate difficulty
Rehab Therapist Patient Documentation: Demonstrates proficiency in documentation practices. Documents in the appropriate templates and utilizes only approved abbreviations within patient documentation. Meets institutional standards for quality and timeliness of documentation
