We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Assistant Controller II is responsible for performing many of the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department. This includes but is not limited to the following: Directing month-end closing activities; Preparing and reviewing month-end account reconciliation’s; Responsible for audits of the accounting department; Oversees members of the accounting staff; Performing special projects as directed by the CFO, VP of Finance and Controller. The Assistant Controller must also support the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values.What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

MBA or CPA certification preferred

3-5 years experience in Accounting required

Previous experience in a senior level accounting position preferred

Hospital/healthcare background required

Previous supervisory experience preferred

Medicare and third party payer knowledge helpful

What you will do in this role:

Maintain responsibility for day-to-day operations, projects and audits of the accounting department.

Ensure the accuracy of the facility financial statements both monetary and statistics.

Oversee members of the accounting staff.

Direct the month-end close process.

Provide input for annual job evaluations for staff.

Provide on-going training for staff and promote teamwork within the department.

Answer questions from other departments, corporate, vendors and anyone else they may come in contact within the course of their duties.

Support the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values.
