Instrumentation & Controls Technician

Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement. Position Purpose: The E&I Technician will support plant operations through inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all plant electrical systems and instrumentation and controls equipment.  The E&I Technician will perform skilled work requiring a high degree of precision and understanding of technical data and systems.  Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Adhering to all health, safety, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as company and site safety and engineering standards.Participate in maintenance reliability programs and processes.Participate in the development of the E&I maintenance work schedule, including upcoming scheduled shutdowns.Install and maintain electrical distribution centers.Test energized systems.Fabricate and install electrical conduit systems.Calibrate, install and maintain electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatic process control and related systems.Operate electrical distribution systems.Field sketch and interpret drawings, electronic prints and repair procedures.Maintain electrical machine control and process systems.Maintain on-line and off-line analytical measurement equipment.Contribute to the design, implementation, and programming of control systems for equipment upgrades and new installations.Be on-call on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.  This includes the ability to answer phone calls and if needed, go into the plant on off hours.Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
