Growing, well respected boutique law firm in Memphis, TN seeking Associate Attorney with 5+ years personal injury litigation experience. Founding attorney is among fewer than 2 % of Tennessee attorneys who are Board Certified by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Specialist and among the fewer than 5 % who have been recognized in Super Lawyers magazine. Avvo rating of 10. This law firm is lead by one of TN most talented litigators.
The ideal attorney candidate will have 5 + years of litigation experience and be expected to capably litigate small to mid-size cases independently for the rare cases (1-2 year) that do go to trail. Must have stellar researching and drafting skills. No book of business is required.
Personal Injury Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:
Efficiently and competently research complicated legal issues
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, etc.
Handle all aspects of discovery
Depose Expert witnesses
Participate in court hearings and trials- average 1-2 a year
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
Support clients and firm colleagues as needed
Litigation Attorney Requirements:
5 + years of litigation experience, preferably with substantial personal injury litigation experience.
Need not have been lead counsel in a jury trial, but must have participated in 2+ as second chair.
J.D. from accredited law school
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven boutique law firm
Compensation based on experience.
