Want to spend less time on your phone? Interested in decreasing your alcohol use at the same time? Researchers at The University of Kentucky could use your help testing a novel app. Learn more about our app control study below.
Eligible participants for this study will need to:
Be at least 18 years old
Use alcohol regularly
Be a United States Citizen/Resident
Have a compatible Android smartphone to access our free app
This study can be conducted completely remotely, only requiring two video conference sessions with our staff to get you started. You can also find more detailed information for this study at https://healthful.ukhc.org/research/ along with our other current studies.
If eligible, after the first session we will mail you a Bluetooth breathalyzer that works with our novel app. Once you receive the breathalyzer, the second short session will help you set up the breathalyzer and give you access to our app. Our app allows you to control your app usage by blocking access to apps of your choice with the opportunity to regain access by submitting breathalyzer readings. The rest of the study can be completed through the app online.
Your time and participation will be compensated, and your participation is confidential. Total possible compensation for this study is $125.
