Description Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. A desire to rise to the challenge and the ability to manage multiple components are musts. You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role's duties include internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Experience with ERP systems
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Month end closings experience
Strong familiarity with cash reconciliations
Expertise in account reconciliation
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
