Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Registration professional within the Hospitals industry. The role is based in downtown Memphis and will involve managing patient registrations, providing excellent customer service, and utilizing computer skills to maintain patient records.Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts ranging from 6:00am - 10:30pm, including day, evening, weekend, and some holidays.Responsibilities: Accurately registering established patients while maintaining a courteous manner Delivering exceptional customer service to all patients, staff, and visitors of the hospital Responding promptly and professionally to patient update requests Processing acceptance notices and performing various assigned tasks Utilizing computer skills to maintain accurate patient records Providing customer support and ensuring customer satisfaction Assisting patients with their inquiries and directing them as needed Performing data entry tasks to update patient information in the system Ensuring flexible availability to accommodate varying shift times, including weekends and some holidays Utilizing Microsoft Outlook for communication and coordination purposesRequirements Proficiency in assisting customers and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction Proven ability to manage customer info files and efficiently utilize customer portals Experience in providing exceptional customer service and support Familiarity with assisting, checking, contacting, and directing patients in a healthcare setting Previous experience as a Patient Registrar or in Patient Registration is preferred Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is essential Experience with computer data entry and numeric data entry Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy and speed Proficiency in typing and data entry is necessary Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
