Engineering Manager

Job Description\ \ \ \ What you will be responsible for: \ \ \ \ The Engineering Manager works with IT and business stakeholders to help them leverage APIs to achieve company objectives and enhance business capabilities. The engineering manager determines API strategy, prioritizes enhancements, and facilitates implementation. He or she also serves as the API subject matter expert and product champion across business and IT stakeholders. This position is strategic in nature, and you will be challenged to set and influence medium to long range (2-5 year view) business goals.\ \ \ \ Work with IT and business stakeholders to determine how APIs can enhance business capabilities. Roadmap API strategy and enhancements for a given business capability. Manage and prioritize a backlog of work, and coordinate with API engineers and development teams to develop new API capabilities. Coordinate API releases across stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. Act as an API subject matter expert, ensuring APIs are used effectively. Serve as the point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders for questions regarding API use, optimization and adoption.
