Description This dynamic team is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Cash Applications (A/R) detail oriented to join their growing company. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role is a permanent position in the Memphis, Tennessee area. Your responsibilities in this role
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Verify the correctness of documents and codes
Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required
Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including handling payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP Requirements - IN OFFICE for first 90 days for training and then HYBRID 2 DAYS PER WEEK
Relevant experience in accounts receivable
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Proven knowledge of Electronic Remittance
Strong familiarity with cash posting
Experience with Remittance
Comprehensive knowledge of cash applications
Deductions experience
Well-founded grasp of Daily Cash Receipts
General familiarity with cash reconciliations
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
10 Key Skills experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Experience with ERP systems
