job detailsjob summary:A Buyer/Planner is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Memphis, TN area. We are seeking a Planner to manage inventory, project coordination, and business analysis while optimizing material and labor utilization.location: Memphis, Tennesseejob type: Contractsalary: $27.21 - 36.95 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Associatesresponsibilities:
Establish and maintain production material inventory and purchase plan to support the master schedule
Maintain contact with Production, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and other departments
Monitor the status of all raw materials and purchased component shortages affecting production lines
Execute purchase orders and changes to ensure optimum delivery of materials in economic lots
Ensure availability of purchased materials to support the production plan while maintaining inventory within budgeted limits
Coordinate the timely resolution of rejected purchased materials
Actively participate in projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Skills and Experience Needed:
Purchasing
Planning
Medium-level proficiency in Excel and Word
Knowledge/experience with purchasing tools (SAP preferred)
