Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the accounts payable function in our organization. This role involves handling vendor invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and accurate payment of bills.Responsibilities: Handle the receipt and processing of accounts payable using accounting software. Validate the accuracy of vendor invoices and ensure the correct general ledger code is applied. Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors. Register new vendors in the accounting system as needed. Monitor outstanding accounts payable and follow up with management. Investigate and resolve issues related to the processing of purchase orders and invoices. Conduct transactions and perform accounting duties like recording journal entries and reconciling accounts. Use general ledger account codes to record invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests. Ensure timely payments for outstanding credits through the data entry of invoices and bills. Prepare batch check runs and ACH transactions and generate payments to vendors on a routine schedule. Maintain vendor files and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures Proficient in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Oracle software Experience with QuickBooks Familiarity with SAP software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Good written and verbal communication skills High level of integrity and trustworthiness Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role is advantageous.
