Key Tasks
Coordinating work with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to define the product design requirements.
Translate customer needs, business needs, manufacturing operation's needs, and regulatory requirements into systems strategies and subsequently into product functional and performance requirements.
Design/development activities for Mechanical, Electrical or Software elements.
Development of technical documentation in product lifecycle process.
Coordinating work with the tool shop and outside vendors to develop and/or make tooling, test fixtures/equipment and prototypes for product development including the building of product bench top models for proof of concept.
Researching design options and performing experiments and analysis to determine potential design feasibility or application.
Conducts the specialty engineering analyses, such as risk assessment of software, hardware, and integrated system, the system reliability, systems integration, verification and validation.
Leads the product risk management process.
Creating DHF documentation appropriate for Class II Medical Devices including design and development plans, controlled design documentation, change records, and V&V documents.

Your Background
You are seeking a BS/MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
You are in good standing at your university and/or field of study (GPA >2.75) and 1-2 year(s) away from graduation.
You are willing/able to be in our Lebanon, TN office for 10-12 weeks starting around May or June.
