The training period will last approximately 4-6 weeks. After the training period is successfully completed, this role will transition to 3rd shift hours (beginning at approximately 11:00pm).Position DetailsThis role will work alongside other DC Automation & Maintenance Technicians to ensure peak performance of the facility and all equipment supporting supply chain operations. Additionally, this position is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment, along with IT systems, and related events. Finally, this role will respond to maintenance requests and communications in a timely and professional manner and participate in projects with members of other teams, working closely with IT, HR, Facilities and Operations.Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of premises, grounds, building systems, equipment, Autostore, and furnishings.

Maintain optimal functioning of Autostore on the assigned shift.

Perform preventative maintenance on, and/or repair or arrange to have repaired, building systems including Plumbing, Electrical, Generator, HVAC, Appliances, etc.

Maintain and schedule regular testing and service for all Fire / Life Safety Systems, Including Fire Inspections, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Sprinklers, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Smoke Detectors.

Maintain building appearance inside and out; touch-up painting, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, maintaining lights, etc.

Facilitate and support associate moves and the resulting furniture and equipment adjustments and support associates with assembly and installation/mounting of equipment and furnishings

Coordinate contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

Maintain all hired facility vendors, landscaping, trash service, janitorial service etc.

Organization and ongoing maintenance of storage areas, warehouse/loading areas & custodial/janitorial equipment areas.

Maintain records and documentation on all implemented equipment and building systems.

Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment.

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, relevant codes and standards, and established procedures and understand the correct selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Remediate and/or report safety hazards to your supervisor and take appropriate action.

Ensure overall cleanliness of the building, outside spaces, and grounds, keeping them maintained and in good condition.

As needed, clean up building common areas, clean up spills and collect and dispose of trash.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of college or trade school preferred

2+ years experience in similar position(s)

Prior experience using common tools to solve, repair and resolve maintenance issues

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and inclusive environment. Strong attention to detail with demonstrated integrity and professionalism
