Aspiring Medical Professional AMP 1JOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.Reports to: Education SupervisorFLSA: Non-exemptEEO: 05 Administrative Support WorkersESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSLearns and Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.Learns and observes how to assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform other duties as assigned. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned. Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS. Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary. Accepts all call schedule as directed. Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS Compliance to the STRH - Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.
