Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic is in need of a caring professional who can take care of our clients and their pets.

We currently have 2 full time receptionists and 1 flex employee. We are looking for the right individual to blend with our team and clients. Part or Full time available (2 days up to 5 days a week)
Receptionist:
Greeting clients, taking phone calls and emails, making appointments using veterinary software, handling invoices and collecting payment. Inventory, stocking and cleaning also vital to the job. Need to be able to type and utilize a PC and a smart phone.
Ability to handle anxious, worried, and upset clients is important.
Knowledge of veterinary medicine helps as our receptionists know how to triage what needs to be seen immediately, answer basic questions about preventions and medications, and help owners with common issues. Training on the job is available

Pay starts at $15 if no experience and up to $19 with experience, a merit based raise at 90 days and then yearly/merit based raises.
Benefits after 90 days include discounted pet food and vet care, qualification for weekly, monthly and quarterly bonuses ($4,000 per year possible). human dental/vision 100% covered, medical insurance 50% with associated HSA being set up now (after 60 days full time employment). Vacation and holiday pay accrued after 1 year of employment (unpaid time off is easily approved for family vacations etc with advanced notice).
with our bonuses and paid time off our staff normally averages $20-21 per hour at the end of the year - in addition often get $400-500 in uniforms (shirts, scrubs, shoes) by years end.
Experienced applicants = hourly wage can be negotiated
Unexperienced applicants should still posses basic computer skills and good interpersonal skills - we are happy to do on the job training for veterinary specifics.
We are a close group who try to have fun on hard days. We don't like drama in the workplace and try to nip toxic behaviors in the bud.
