Long time established part of the Knoxville food service industry, we seek an individual who has vision and experience. Located in the historic Bijou Theatre the Bistro has been providing fresh, seasonal food to downtown business professionals and the theatre crowd for over 40 years.
We have an evening position open for someone with good leadership skills in addition to comprehensive culinary knowledge.
Schedule will vary with downtown events based on seasonality. We tend to be slower in the warm months.
Duties include:
Planning, preparation and plating of menu items.
Inventory management and respect for sourced ingredients
Learning all stations: expo, grill. sautee
Following and training by example health and safety protocols
Leading the crew in detail cleaning
Creating a positive enviornment
Ensuring customer satisafaction by maintaing quality standards and special requests.
Cost and waste control
Compensation depends on experience and performance. You can expect to earn 50k for a 50 hour week exclusive of bonus. We do not discriminate on basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
