This person is expected to have a well-rounded framework of knowledge around the software development lifecycle, scripting, and infrastrucure-as-code languages and platforms. This person will also display knowledge around cloud best practices and security.

Manage and execute cloud infrastructure projects to improve the efficiency, availability, and performance of the company’s cloud-hosted systems.

Determine project specifications based on business and user needs, and review pricing options for projects based on current cloud market costs.

Research, identify, and implement Cloud Cost Optimization initiatives

Assist in the resolution of complex performance and availability issues

Architect and build Infrastructure as Code efforts for cloud workloads

Provide feedback on issues to appropriate developers and IT team members to improve functionality and performance

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Ensure all activities follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certification required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred

Minimum five years’ relevant experience preferred

Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Advanced Microsoft Visio skills

ServiceNow Cloud Integrations

Advanced knowledge of operating systems and cloud compute types

Exceptional/Advanced knowledge on AWS Cloud or other cloud providers (Azure, GCP)

AWS Solutions Architect - Professional / AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional certificates

Ability to troubleshoot technical problems

Ability to exercise independent judgment

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Ability to communicate technical information about servers to software developers and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to champion and learn new cloud technologies as required

Ability to mentor and teach co-workers to support internal growth

Ability to document work well for re-use

Additional Information

General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time

On-call support required periodically (rotating schedule)

Ability to work remote when needed

Travel required less than 25%
