Description A self-starting, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk (A/R) might be interested in this job opening. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. As part of their duties, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Candidates looking for career growth potential and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week will be best fit for this position.How you will make an impact
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Test documents and codes
Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers
Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP
Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
ERP system experience
General familiarity with Customer Account
Adeptness in Collecting Payments
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Demonstrated knowledge of analysis
Practical knowledge of Manage Vendor Relationships
Experience with Post Payments
Cash posting experience
Account reconciliation experience
Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
