Seniors Helping Seniors is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers (50+) to join our team in Greater Knoxville. Our mission is to provide seniors with the support and assistance they need to continue living independently and happily in their own homes.
As a caregiver with Seniors Helping Seniors, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. You will be responsible for providing a range of non-medical services, including assistance with daily activities, transportation, and companionship.
To be successful in this role, you should have a caring and patient personality, as well as the ability to work independently. Experience in the healthcare or social services industry is a plus, but not required. We welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds, and strongly encourage seniors to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management
- Offer transportation to appointments and errands as needed
- Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients, such as reading, playing games, and going for walks
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and meal preparation
- Communicate with clients' families and healthcare providers as needed
- Follow care plans and document care provided
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
