Fast growing manufacturer is looking for a machine operator - technician with some industrial experience to join our ambitious team. If you're working in a manufacturer, maintenance shop or machine shop with some hands on experience with manual mills and lathes this could be the opportunity for you!
GENERAL MACHINIST
Employee Specifications:
Machining experience with manual lathes and optionally CNC mills and lathes
Basic understanding of milling, drilling and tapping.
Ability to use basic measuring tools including dial calipers, micrometer, depth mic, height gauge and telescoping gauge.
Ability to read machining drawings.
Ability to effectively follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to operate basic calculator.
Ability to operate a fork truck.
Ability to inspect machine work.
Ability to work in a standing job for 10 hours per shift.
Dependable to be at work on time and willing to support required overtime as schedule dictates.
Flexible and willing to work any shift as required Mon-Fri and overtime on Saturday and/or Sunday as needed.
Ability to work effectively with other machinists in a team environment.
Additional desired skills:
Machining experience (milling and turning).
Basic fabrication knowledge and experience.
