MRO Buyer

The MRO Buyer manages MAT’s maintenance, repair & operational (MRO) inventory for the Jackson, TN plant. These responsibilities include maintaining our MRO inventory control system, sourcing various non-product related materials, issuing purchase orders, and receiving materials. This position regularly interacts with other departments such as maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, etc… This position requires interpersonal skills, patience, assertiveness, and flexibility to complete tasks.Principle ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of our MRO inventory to maintain established stock levels at the best cost & quality.  Source & purchase both stock & non-stock MRO items.Utilize both SAP & our CMMS for purchase orders & inventory control.Provide support to our accounts payable team on invoice discrepancies.Analyze reorder points & quantities to make adjustments based on usage & current lead timesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in allPerform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
