Description We are in the market for an Application Support Specialist, who will be a vital part of our Information Technology team. This role is based in HERMITAGE, Tennessee, 37076-2903, United States and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be tasked with the design and development of modern web-based applications, and support of application software for multiple business areas and projects. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of modern web-based applications to support various business areas Ensure application design, development schedule, and implementation adhere to established standards Conduct unit testing, debugging, and requirements documentation at an advanced level Design, develop and maintain databases for optimal functionality Utilize monitoring tools to ensure application performance and address any issues that arise Uphold industry best practices and transfer these skills to team members Conduct technical design and maintain documents technical specifications Analyze business/functional requirements and prepare development project schedule tasks and estimates Develop and teach team members on application integration and architecture Review solutions to ensure alignment to architectural specifications and design, and recommend performance improvements.Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Experience in Design Concepts and Module Familiarity with Customer Service and Documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Experience in Database Design and Security Implementation Knowledge of Integration, Monitoring Tool, and Coding Best Practices Understanding of Configuration Management and Metric Reporting Familiarity with Computer Sciences and R Code. Requirements Must have a strong background in Information Technology or Computer Sciences. Excellent customer service skills are required. Demonstrated experience with software design and implementation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint is necessary. Familiarity with database management and integration. Proven ability to work with coding languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and R Code. Understanding of design concepts and module development. Experience with 'About Time' software is a plus. Knowledge of security best practices is essential. Experience with configuration management is required. Must be able to produce clear and concise documentation. Metric reporting skills are a must. Familiarity with monitoring tools is preferred. Understanding of specification development and implementation. Ability to travel as required by the role. Must follow industry best practices. Capability to work within set timelines.
