Description We are on the hunt for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The primary function of this role involves preparing and examining accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports. This position will also entail developing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems, along with formulating financial actions by analyzing accounting options and maintaining financial security by following internal controls.Responsibilities: Prepare and scrutinize accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with the payment, reporting, and other tax requirements Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital, and prepare reports that reflect the company's financial status Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options Maintain financial security by following internal controls Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements Audit the work of the accounting department, applying principles of accounting, and provide detailed reports on findings. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
