IT Security Engineer

Description We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Germantown, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining our industry-leading security tools, conducting security vulnerability assessments, and engaging in the incident response lifecycle to prevent potential security threats. Responsibilities: Administer and maintain industry-leading security tools, ensuring their efficient operation Conduct security vulnerability assessments, including vulnerability scanning, compliance auditing, impact analysis, and risk assessments Ensure secure log flow from various security devices and appliances to the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system Configure advanced system views and reports within the SIEM to prioritize and monitor security events Analyze and mitigate incidents before they evolve, engaging in the incident response lifecycle Monitor alarms and audit logs to identify and remediate potential security threats Prepare weekly and monthly reports for distribution, review, and potential follow-up actions Conduct advanced analysis of email headers and envelopes of emails Address associate-reported encrypted issues and remediate associate-reported suspicious email Create and test new policies per company requirements Participate in the policy and procedures review process Maintain compliance for the company, ensuring the effects of changes align and further ensure continued compliance with security policies Develop and recommend changes within the networks and/or systems to ensure adherence to security policies Initiate, respond, and resolve cybersecurity cases and escalations Compose and draft security alert notifications for distribution Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business. Requirements Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Experience with Checkpoint technologies Expertise in Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies Ability to work with computer hardware Knowledge in Configuration Management Skill in design and layout Familiarity with Eigrp protocol Experience in Firewall Technologies Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a team and independently Strong understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices, and strategies Proven experience implementing security solutions at the business division level Strong understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, and penetration testing Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements Strong knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and the different types of attackers and attack vectors.
