Join us.Job DescriptionSenior Transportation Planner ManagerAECOM is actively seeking a creative, self-driven, talented Senior Transportation Planner Manager to join a large, dynamic, and highly technical team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Franklin, TN office. The successful candidate will lead the transportation planning group and oversee the development of diverse types of transportation planning projects. Additionally, the individual will need to effectively market these capabilities to existing and prospective clients as they grow this department. You will have the opportunity to engage in pioneering projects that utilize the latest technologies to improve all forms of transportation. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a hybrid work position.Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight/support

Plan and manage tasks and team members

Coordinate with other disciplines

Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub-consultants in the various assignments

Lead development efforts for the following types of projects:

Transportation corridor planning

Transit studies

Transportation Demand Management programs

Bicycle and pedestrian systems analysis

Community Outreach

Natural resource planning

Economic development and housing studies

Land use and comprehensive planning

Policy analyses

Travel within Tennessee as required to serve the clients and projects - Periodic travel to clients in other states may also be required

QualificationsMinimum:

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning or a related field

10 years of experience in transportation planning or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

A valid Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred:

Master's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning or related field

15+ years of experience in transportation planning

5+ years of experience with the management of projects and people

Ability to work in a collaborative team setting

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience with community outreach techniques

Basic experience with GIS analysis
