Enjoy the freedom to grow with customizable career paths, water-specific technical and professional development and the potential to contribute to transformational projects worldwide.Discover your #H2OpportunityJob DescriptionThe Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Sr. Water/Wastewater Project Manager , who will also serve as a Client Services Manager, with a focus on water/wastewater infrastructure design, with in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance and pumping systems, for immediate employment in our Nashville (Franklin), TN office.This role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to focus on a mix of client business growth, project delivery leadership, and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top-notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s Nashville, TN area business. The appropriately qualified applicant will be a seller/doer and have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunities.

Manages projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout. Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projects.

Supervises and mentors junior staff.

Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services will include activities focused on the design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and pumping projects.

Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.

Makes technical presentations.

Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans, specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables.

Overseeing construction phase engineering services.

Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering- preferably Civil or Environmental

Eight (8) years of related experience, with progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering design, assessment and rehabilitation, conveyance and pumping systems

Must be a licensed Professional Engineer

Demonstrated project management experience including delivering projects successfully, on time, and on budget.

Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water and wastewater projects, resulting in securing additional projects from clients.

Must have a valid driver's license and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ten (10) years of progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering design, assessment and rehabilitation, conveyance and pumping systems

Five (5) years’ experience working in the Nashville area for water/wastewater/stormwater utilities is highly preferred

Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee

Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals

Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience

Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals

Experience in preparation of engineering proposals for submission to clients

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, and experience. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $165,000.
