Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Cordova, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for the core accounting responsibilities within our department, utilizing your deep understanding of accounting principles and the end-to-end accounting process. You will also be expected to review, analyze, and interpret all financial and budgetary reports. Your proactive approach to efficiency and effectiveness, along with your attention to detail and problem-solving skills, will be crucial to this role.Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes including month-end activities, variance analysis, key inputs, balance sheet reconciliations, etc. Analyze balance sheet, revenue, and expenses accounts to summarize and explain financial and statistical results, providing explanations for variances Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items Utilize ERP and expert systems to obtain information needed in the research and reconciliation process Develop and maintain reports to communicate financial and statistical information to management and/or the appropriate functional business group Maintain updated SOPs to support departmental tasks and processes Demonstrate proficiency in the tools utilized by the department including Excel, Access, and other office tools Assist with internal and external audits by preparing client schedules and worksheets as needed Complete other projects as requested by management to support the Finance department Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Asset Inventory, Manufacturing Company. Requirements A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management Proficiency in Journal Entries creation and management Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software Experience with Asset Inventory management Prior work experience in a manufacturing company is desirable Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
