Production Operator (Hopkinsville)

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Manufacturing ink in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to quality procedures as specified in product formulations. Production Operator works independently in all production functions as assigned by the team leader.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Operate a variety of production equipment across plant floor as needed.Operate a forkliftUnderstand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and the ISO quality system.Follow all plant policies and practices to ensure safety and quality objectives are met.Will open and close valves, operate transfer pumps, monitor temperature controls and maintain settings and operational knowledge of re-circulation and sample taking process.Problem solving as required through the automated or manual process controls.Use general math skills to calculate volumes and percentages in weighing raw materials and filling containers with finished product.Practice good housekeepingREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years work experience in a team-based manufacturing environmentForklift experienceBasic math skillsSun Chemical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
