Experienced Trailer Mechanic Needed
Looking for an experienced trailer mechanic. We are in search of the right mechanic to work good with our team of professionals. Individuals must be punctual, possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and have knowledge of DOT safety and compliance requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
-Perform inspections, repairs and maintenance for trailers in compliance with all DOT requirements.
-Perform inspections on trailers in compliance with all DOT requirements.
-Perform routine preventative maintenance on trailers.
-Perform welding and fabrication on trailers.
-Keep all assigned trailer maintenance files current including all DOT compliance-related documentation for mechanical work performed on trailers.
-Perform or coordinate emergency maintenance, breakdown repairs on trailers.
-Maintain shop area, order parts, materials, oils, lubricants, shop supplies.
-Interact with customers and vendors while always maintaining a customer service focus.
-Perform all other duties as assigned and required within role.
Education and Experience:
-Previous petroleum industry experience is preferred.
-Mechanic or technician experience related to semi-trailers in oil and gas operations (Preferred)
-Hazardous Materials Inspector Training Certification for Cargo Tank Trailers (preferred)
-Welding and Fabrication Training Certification (Preferred)
-Ability to perform in a team environment with other operations and staff personnel.
-Ability to prioritize daily work schedules depending on operational requirements.
-Ability to diagnose and perform routine and corrective maintenance for all trailers including braking systems and hydraulic and air systems.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, Day Shift
