job title: Installer / Woodworker
Haskel Sears Design is hiring a new woodworker / installer for a hybrid position. Experience working in a cabinet shop or in finish/trim carpentry is a plus. Starting pay based on experience with an evaluation for a pay raise at 60 days. We are a full service general contractor that specializes in custom doors, cabinetry, furniture, and millwork for commercial spaces. This is a great opportunity those with carpentry or woodworking experience master their skills in a fast paced commercial shop.
Your responsibilities would be to:
- Efficiently and safely build projects from raw materials to finished pieces with guidance from the shop manager.
-Identify supplies and equipment and hardware needed.
-Read and understand shop drawings.
-Understand and execute cut lists.
-Communicate project details to coworkers.
-Keep projects on schedule and track time spent using Quickbooks Time.
-Assist in solving problems in the shop and in the field.
-Identify all tools, supplies, and labor needed for installation.
-Install projects properly, efficiently, and cleanly.
Pay is given as a wide range based on experience. Carpentry or woodworking experience is required. Benefits include 8 paid holidays along with additional paid time for those that have been with the company for more than one year. This position will be installation focused, but much of the employee's time will be spent fabricating in the shop.
