Timberroot Rustic Retreats is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager at our Wauhatchie Woodlands location in Chattanooga, TN. We are a rapidly growing company, operating vacation rentals in three states. Our Chattanooga property has 31 lodgings, including 26 tiny cabins, 1 micro cabin, three medium homes and one large home, all located in a beautiful natural setting just ten minutes from downtown Chattanooga. As the leader of our housekeeping team, you will play an essential role in driving the culture of our team and maintaining quality, ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience during their stay.
responsibilities:
Ensure an amazing guest experience.
A successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time performing administrative tasks and 50% performing cleans. This mix may vary based on seasonality and assigned projects.
Administrative tasks include maintaining an appropriate mix of employees and contractors, training staff, scheduling, monitoring inventory, coordinating with management to drive improvement, maintaining a team culture, and performing inspections.
Cleaning tasks include preparing cabins for guest arrivals, folding and organizing linens, restocking toiletries, ensuring all surfaces are dust-free and spotless and maintaining a well-organized housekeeping facility.
Foster a sense of partnership across cleaners, maintenance, guest services and management to ensure an “I’ve got your back” culture.
Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment and follow all health and safety procedures.
Develop staff and prepare them for growth by identifying talent and providing them opportunities to expand their roles.

Prior experience in a similar role or leading teams is preferred.

compensation:
We offer a competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience.
Bonus is paid based on the team’s productivity (number of properties cleaned), assuming minimum team goals are met (the campus meets minimum quality standards based on guest reviews).
Eligible for voluntary employee paid benefits, which include health, vision, and dental insurance as well as other benefits like 401Ks and PTO. Part-time employees are ineligible.
