Principal Accountabilities:
Unload sweetener syrup and dry sugar from rail cars to trailers to maintain inventories
Loading tanker trucks with sweetener syrup and dry sugar, and certified weight records
Quality control, sampling, product integrity, and refract meter checks/records for all sweetener commodities received and delivered, by using SAP (inventory and scheduling tool), as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
First line trouble shooting of boiler, process systems, and wash rack systems, lab equipment, and office equipment
Monitor/control dispatch to ensure sweetener product is delivered to customers on time
Adjust dispatch and work with customers to facilitate schedule add-ons and changes
Interact with railroad group to receive correct product switches
Monitor and reorder routine operational supplies
Perform maintenance projects and repairs
Operate motorized (rail mover) and non-motorized (blowers, turn equipment on and off, change filters in some machines) material handling equipment
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Basic use of computer
Preferred Qualifications:
High School education or GED equivalent
Prior experience in production related work
Previous maintenance experience
Must be able to operate machinery
Valid Driver License
