We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Patient Safety & Risk Management Director is responsible for directing the clinical risk management program and activities which include identification and mitigation of risk exposures, claims management, coordination of litigation, along with a wide range of proactive elements of patient safety activities that promote a culture of safety and prevent patient harm.What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or approved compact state required

Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred

Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred

3-5 years of management experience, including 2-3 years in healthcare management required

What you will do in this role:

Maintain knowledge of and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Serve as Patient Safety Organization (PSO) contact and management of PSWP (patient safety work product).

Provide direction and oversight for the risk management function for all hospital campuses.

Possess broad clinical knowledge and familiarity with hospital operations.

Effectively report, investigate, and analyze patient safety incidents, medical errors and potential risks in the facility.

Coordinate systems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, reduction and/or elimination of risk exposures.

Collaborate with and influence all levels of stakeholders.

Provide staff education related to risk management and patient safety as required.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
