Overview:The Conference Researcher / Producer role is a strategic one, and is best suited to candidates with strong commercial acumen. The role requires market research and liaison with senior management, and as such, the candidate requires excellent communication skills, in addition to the ability to research and identify new and emerging commercial trends. The individual is responsible for curating content for several business conferences throughout the year, and meeting production targets and deadlines, across the healthcare and life sciences sectors. You could be a graduate, or a candidate with 1 to 2 years work experience. Individuals with similar / related experience are also welcome to apply.Role Purpose: The development and execution of all elements of event agendas, surrounding content creation and speaker recruitment. They are focused on maximizing the potential of each event through consistent active market engagement, research and relationship development. The Conference Producer role is critical in bringing together all other event team functions to work as a high-functioning collective towards a series of common goals per event within defined timelines.Job Summary: Researching the viability of conference topics. Contacting the target market through phone, desk research and meetings to determine what topics/themes are needed by the market Researching, writing and curating the conference program Contacting potential speakers, mainly by phone, and recruiting them onto the program. Working as part of a project management team, including marketing, sales, delivery/operations Writing promotional copy, such as marketing emails, linkedin posts, brochure, post-event reports and website copy Writing briefs for marketing, sponsorship and telesales and attending internal team brief meetings Arranging pre-conference panel prep calls with speakers and moderators and making notes to share  Running the conference on the day in a professional and proactive way - ideal candidates have a great attitude to approaching any task or onsite responsibility 

Monitoring the quality of the speakers’ presentations and the smooth running of panel discussions Building longer term relationships with speakers/sponsors and delegates through industry networking and relationship building. Meeting production targets and deadlines as outlined by the General ManagerKnowledge & Skills required:

Strong analytical research skills and ability to connect with their industry through targeted topical research to extract meaningful insights about audience needsAbility to translate audience needs into viable and relevant event products via digital and in-person mediumsAbility to collaborate effectively with Market Pillar and central capabilitiesAbility to source and manage speakers and content contributorsPlanning, developing and executing events from initial research to post-eventUnderstanding of event content development best practiceAbility to think critically and flexibly, and make strategic changes where necessary to achieve goalsAbility to generate new ideas and spot significant new market trendsSuccess Metrics:Achievement of conference production targets per project, including:Key dates/deadlines throughout campaignResearch call number and scope of audience represented in callsNumber, scope and diversity of confirmed speakers (new and different speakers to previous years is essential)Lack of speaker drop-outsQuality of briefs to other event team functionsContent delivery formats  Revenue and GP achieved per eventVolume of confirmed SpEx deals with a content element involvedQuality content assets produced
