We are seeking a reliable and diligent Custodian to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Custodian, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position involves performing a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks on two days a week basis, 6-8 hours per cleaning, during the day. $350.00 sign on bonus

Responsibilities:

1. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition: Ensure that all areas of the building are clean and well-maintained, including offices, common areas, and restrooms.

2. Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms: Use specific procedures and products to clean and sanitize restrooms ensuring a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.

3.Dust, polish, and wipe Furniture: Regularly dust, polish, and wipe down furniture and fixtures to maintain their appearance.

4. Empty and wash garbage bins: Empty trash receptacles, wash them when necessary, and handle recycling procedures in accordance with guidelines.

5.Perform heavy cleaning duties: Undertake heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, and removing stubborn stains.

6. Properly use and maintain power equipment: Operate power equipment and tools safely and maintain them in good working conditions to ensure safety and efficiency.

7. Secure building and doors: Ensure that the building and its doors are properly secured when not in use to maintain security.

8. Follow chemical use and safety procedures: Adhere to instructions regarding the proper use of cleaning chemicals and handle safety hazards in the workplace with caution.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying, and storing items as needed for cleaning duties.

2. Must be physically capable of walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, and performing other physical tasks required for cleaning.

3. Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately.

4. Team player: Capable of working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

5. Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable, willing to perform assigned daily tasks consistently.

6. Previous experience: Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
