Job Summary

Performs diverse duties as they relate to the clinic to include, maintaining multiple physician, patient, surgery, procedure and office schedules. Schedules patient provider appointments, radiology, as well as other infusions, injections, referrals and medical tests as ordered by the physician or advanced practice provider.

Assists with scheduling of telemedicine visits and outreach visits. Coordinates all patients testing, infusions, and services closer to home if patient requests.

Ensures authorization is in place prior to tests being performed.

Responsible for scheduling, maintaining, and disseminating an accurate provider and infusion schedule, including acquisition, retention, and organization of documentation, and will provide clerical services for the clinic as indicated. Performs reception duties for all medical personnel and visitors as needed including computer entry, phone answering, patient, staff, and physician communication.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

One year of medical secretary school preferred.

3 or more years of experience as a scheduler, biller, or in a medical office preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Medical Terminology is preferred.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00; 80hrs/2wks

PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$18.25 - $23.00 per hour
