Design Specialist

The Specialist, Design II, reports to the Senior Manager of Retail Sales. The Specialist is expected to be present onsite daily, leveraging their expertise in cabinet design and sales to assist walk-in retail customers, as well as actively prospecting new builders and remodeling contractors within Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. Their role demands a thorough understanding of product offerings, effective sales strategies, and the ability to build relationships with potential clients.YOUR ROLE:Performs duties on the showroom floor according to the assigned schedule and welcomes customers upon their arrival at the showroom.Uses 20/20 design software to create pricing quotes, layouts, and perspectives for customers. Organizes designs and plans in order to quote to customers in order of receipt and need.Sells cabinetry, countertops, and hardware to customers and builders.Prepares sales proposals and contracts and presents them to customers to promote store products.Completes order forms and purchase orders for the manager to order sold products, verifies acknowledgements, and assists in coordinating the delivery of the sold product.Prospects new customers outside of the showroom.Meets with contractors, plumbers, electricians, and cabinet installers as needed.Assists with collection of money due at the time of order and delivery.Meets Company’s monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals.Develops in-depth knowledge of all MasterBrand strategic business units. Leverages ideas from other reviews and co-workers to provide value-added recommendations and best practices to others. Consistently demonstrates the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.Identifies self-development needs and seeks opportunities to work on areas that will further develop skills. Participates in company efforts related to ethics and compliance activities.Performs other duties as assigned.CHARACTERISTICS AND ATTRIBUTES:Make the team better Celebrate success; give feedback to improveGet actively involved and share your perspectiveBe boldMake big commitments to deliver big resultsFail fastChampion improvementTrust the tools to drive resultsDon’t wait for someone else to find a better way
