Description There is an opening at a promising Non-Profit company via Robert Half for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk interested in developing their career. This role's duties will require you to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Provide support during internal and external audits
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Requirements - 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Deep understanding of Journal Vouchers
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Reporting
Month end closings experience highly desired
Expertise in Check Runs
General ledger experience
Adeptness in account reconciliation
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
