Creative Ironworks and Black Hills Powder Coating are looking for a self-motivated and dependable individual to be Fabrication / Project Manager for the two fast paced businesses. This is a full time position with hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM M-F. Manager’s time will be split between the office, shop, and field.
Office duties will include, but are not limited to answering phone calls and emails, creating invoices, working with customers to select railing styles and powder coat colors, producing shop drawings, ordering materials including steel, powder, and fasteners, providing quotes for powder coated items, and providing quotes for residential and commercial steel jobs.
Shop duties will include, but are not limited to coordinating and working with the fabricators and powder coater to complete jobs to the highest quality standards. This will entail operating various pieces of production equipment such as, operating hydraulic brake, band saw, shear, CNC plasma torch, tubing bender, plate roller, operating forklift, maintaining and fixing equipment, and complying with all procedural expectations and safety standards.
Field duties will include, but not be limited to measuring for commercial and residential projects, installation of fabricated structural and architectural steel items, and scheduling with home owners and contractors for completion of jobs.
Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. They will need to have basic math skills with the ability to convert fractions and decimals and be capable of reading a tape measure. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Computer skills including QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, AutoCAD. They must have attention to detail, be dependable, and be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
