CBS - Contracting & Legal Specialist – Consultant Level (Admitted Attorney)

Main Purpose of JobYou will have the opportunity to assist on complex contracting and commercial negotiations and provide internal legal advice, reviewing and drafting of contracts and providing support to the Firm. The focus of the role will be on the advisory services of Deloitte, with an emphasis on contractual support and contract management.The role entails:Reviewing, negotiating and drafting of contracts for the advisory business;Engaging with client legal teams and external lawyersAdopting a solution orientated and risk-based approach, supporting the team in driving this behaviour within the business and across the firm;Regularly monitoring, assessing and highlighting risk or legal trends and sharing this knowledge with other members of the teamSupporting engagement teams with their initial interactions with clients, tender and proposal submissions and contract negotiations.Technical Competencies             Experience in commercial law & contracting Experience in contract managementDemonstrated capability in interaction at all levelsExperience in drafting and negotiating contracts Experience in drafting legal opinionsBehavioural Competencies Able to work in a flexible working environment; self-starter, self-managed and eager to assist.Must meet deadlines and be available for any urgent requests that may ariseMust be trustworthy and available when required by manager and team leader.Attention to detailGood administrative skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalGood interpersonal and relationship building skillsMentorship and coaching ability with desire to develop self and othersStrong internal client delivery focusAdaptable, managing change and ambiguity with easeFocus on quality and riskProblem solving abilityGood business acumenThe role requires someone with confidence and “gravitas” that will seek out engagement and interaction with all levels of the organization and leadership, and who displays a hands on “can do” approach.
