Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist residents to the dining room, serve food, prepare food for eating, interact with residents during the meal and assist in feeding the residents.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma preferred.
Completion of Approved Dining Assistant Course within 30 days of hire.
Working with the elderly, or experience in working with the public.
Education of the nutritional section and feeding principles from the Dining Assistant Training is required.
Work Schedule
Varied shifts as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.00 - $20.50 per hour
