Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to drive the construction and design of innovative retail real estate.  The ideal candidate will have experience working on retail construction projects. In addition, we are looking for a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency who can take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision.   Responsibilities: Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives.  Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.  Interfacing with the client, stakeholders and teammates at all project stages.  Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing Financial system in order to monitor a project’s financial status.  Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.  Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.  Managing the change control process.  Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.  Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.  Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.  Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.  Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.  Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.  Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout US, including analysis of official published data.  Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes referring ides to the appropriate line manager.  Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.  Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.  Assisting in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
