At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.SummaryCHS has an exciting opportunity in our Finance Data Management and Governance group. We are looking for a Data Management Specialist to support our business areas to provide stewardship for master data by enforcing the global data governance design for Customer and Vendor master data. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing data requests for validity and accuracy ensuring data quality and data standards are maintained. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with all CHS business areas.Please note: - This is not an IT job but rather a data process and governance role for someone with strong business acumen, analytical skills, and data-savvyResponsibilities

Determine proper client/customer ties related to patronage, equity, payment terms and validity, etc.

Manage ongoing queue of requests for new clients, lienholders, truckers, and vendors ensuring that all requests are valid, accurate and completed in the expected time frame.

Stay abreast of new business lines/offices opening and update appropriate related master data.

Perform research of key vendors/customers to determine legal structure to ensure appropriate systems set-up.

Maintain master data across multiple systems and appropriate related tables. Manage and execute ongoing projects to better maintain and cleanse business partner/client data.

Maintain procedures manual to accurately reflect current procedures as well as systematic updates and variations.

Find efficiencies in maintaining large amounts of data by working collaboratively with Master Data Governance and other key areas. Identify process inefficiencies and the underlying root causes, and recommend solutions to management.

Effectively communicate and escalate issues and information to management on a timely basis.

Support efforts to communicate and train on master data standards, definitions, processes and tools to business data owners and specialists.

Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

High School diploma or GED

2+ years of expereince in Finance, Accounting, and/or Data Management

Additional Qualifications

Experience with process data & technology and an understanding of multi-level business structure

Basic understanding of SAP system, CMIS, and Master Data guidelines

Knowledge of the cooperative system specifically patronage and equity

Excellent attention to detail to ensure legal compliance with all global contracting and trade rules and regulations

Ability to think abstractly

Ability to adapt to changes in procedure and strategy

Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information

Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
