Job Summary

The Biomedical Engineering Technician must have proven success in continued service of a diverse array of medical equipment, with the majority involvement with lower acuity equipment, and introductory knowledge of higher acuity devices.

In addition, the Biomedical Engineering technician must have some understanding of and working knowledge interconnected systems VLAN, isolated networks, and IT systems interfaces.

Some overnight travel may be necessary due to the nature of the job and training requirements.

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree or military equivalent in electronics or biomedical equipment technology required.

Minimum of one year related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

If performing position from an IA based facility the following is required:

Completion of Child & Dependent Adult Abuse for Iowa Mandatory Reporters course within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

Work Schedule

7:30am-4:00pm, occas wknd/hol/call; 80hrs/2wks

PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
