Position DescriptionThe Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) mission is to provide the warfighter with knowledge superiority by developing, delivering, and maintaining effective, capable and integrated command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. Serco’s C4ISR mission support encompasses Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), Information Technology (IT) systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS), and other electronic systems.Serco performs C4ISR installation services at shore facilities, on towers, piers, platforms, mobile systems, and special purpose vehicles. C4ISR installation services includes both decommissioning and modernization of existing facilities as well as installation design and installation of integrated C4ISR systems at new shore facilities.As the Systems Administrator, you will be an integral member of Serco’s ESS team performing non-routine, complex assignments involving planning and production of complete projects or portions of a larger and more diverse project. Responsibilities will include applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of ESS devices and circuitry, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. This position will be based out of Charleston, SC. For this position, applicants must have relevant ESS design/installation/testing experience.In this role, you will:
Participate in the production of installation design plans (IDPs), final As-Builts, and assist with drawing analysis, recommendations, and support.
Provide input and support the development of engineering documents and participate in the planning and execution of periodic systems engineering requirements design, installation reviews.
Travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 50% of the time as needed to perform hardware installations to include pre-installation test and check-out (PITCO), cabling & certifications, and provide support for system operational verification test (SOVT) execution.
Participate in scheduling and progress meetings, design reviews, scheduling, coordination of installations.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
A bachelors degree and a minimum of 2+ years' relevant experience
Knowledge and certifications pertaining to the performance of NIWC Cybersecurity requirements as it pertains C4I systems
Extensive knowledge and understanding of IT systems and components and their implementation as it pertains to DoD Electronic Security Systems Systems and other C4I systems
Knowledge of and experience with Network Architecture and Network Security
Knowledge of requirements for completing all logistics functions of ESS/C4I installations (new and/or upgrades) to include the advance planning and scheduling of available resources to accomplish assigned integration and installation task
Working knowledge of CCTV systems to include experience with Bosch, Pelco, Axis, Milestone, Hanwha hardware & software
Working knowledge of Access Control / Intrusion Detection Systems to include experience with Lenel, HID, AMAG, DMP, Vindicator, Software House, Southwest Microwave hardware & software
Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed
